Questions Homeowners Ask Before Hiring Us

Everything homeowners ask us about lawns and landscapes — mowing plans, sod, irrigation, drainage, storm cleanup, and pricing.

How much does weekly mowing cost in Baton Rouge?

Most Baton Rouge lawns run $40–$70 per visit for mowing, edging, string trimming, and blowing off the hard surfaces. Full-service maintenance plans — mowing plus beds, shrub trimming, and seasonal care — run $150–$400 a month depending on lot size. Every plan gets a flat written price up front, so the number never changes visit to visit.

How fast can you get to my house?

Free estimates are usually scheduled within a few business days, and most mowing plans start the following week. Standing water, drainage failures, and storm damage get priority response — call (555) 987-6543 and we'll triage on the phone.

What grass grows best here — and do you install sod?

St. Augustine is the workhorse for shady South Louisiana yards; zoysia and bermuda handle full sun and heavy traffic better. We install all three at $1–$2 per square foot including grading and prep, and every sod job comes with an establishment guarantee and a watering schedule written for our heat and clay soil.

Can you fix the soggy spots in my yard?

Almost always — standing water is the number-one lawn killer in our clay soil. Depending on the yard, the fix is regrading, catch basins, or a French drain; most French drain systems run $2,000–$6,000 installed. We start with a free walkthrough after a rain if possible, so we're solving the problem you actually have.

Do you handle storm cleanup — and help with insurance paperwork?

Yes. After hurricanes and severe storms we clear downed limbs and debris, remove damaged trees, and photograph and document everything so your insurance claim has what it needs. Plan customers get first priority on the route, but we answer every call.

Do I have to sign a long contract for a mowing plan?

No. Maintenance plans are month-to-month and pay-as-you-go — pause for vacation or cancel anytime with a week's notice. And if a one-time cleanup is all you need, a cleanup is all we'll quote.

Do you install irrigation, and what does a system cost?

Yes — most residential sprinkler systems run $2,500–$6,500 installed, zoned for lawn and beds with a smart controller that skips watering when it rains. Irrigation work carries a parts-and-labor warranty, and we offer seasonal checkups to keep heads adjusted and lines tight.
